Senior Citizens Club Launched

Rotary Club of Thane Metro is a happening place!

President Hemant Mondkar took a decisive step today. He invited his classmates from New English School, Thane and formed a ‘Senior Citizen Club.’ The members of this group had passed their matriculation examination in 1963. So they were meeting after 53 years!

Wow!!

The senior citizens of course came with their spouses, so it made a large gathering of over 50 persons. It was interesting to listen to them. They talked about their life after graduating from the school. They talked about how they met their wife. Some fell in love and tied the nuptial knot; others waited for their parents to choose the bride for them.

But Hemant had a very different story. Listen to him in this video.

President Hemant has announced the ‘Thank you Dinner’ on the 27th May. If we consider what he has done for the club, it is we who have to give a dinner in his honour.

President Elect Chandrashekhar Thakar is all set to take over. When he speaks in his baritone voice, you are reminded of the revving of Formula 1 car. All the best to you.
